Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe. Short and in plain English.

1. What we collect

When you submit notes, we collect your name, email, school (optional), the notes file, and any details you provide in the submission form. When you browse Whop, we collect basic usage data such as pages viewed, referrer, and approximate location — the same things any website collects.

2. Why we collect it

We use submission details to review your upload, credit you as the contributor, and reply to you by email. We use usage data to understand how Whop is used so we can make it better. That's it — we don't sell your data.

3. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies to keep the site working and to measure traffic anonymously (e.g. basic analytics). We don't run ad-tracking cookies or third-party profiling tools.

4. Sharing

We never sell your personal data. Your name may appear publicly alongside your notes as a contributor credit (this is the only public information). Email addresses are kept private and used solely to contact you about your submission.

5. Storage and security

Your data is stored on reputable cloud providers with industry-standard security practices. We keep submission data only as long as necessary to run the platform. If your submission is rejected and you don't resubmit, we delete the file after 90 days.

6. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to (a) see what data we hold about you, (b) correct anything inaccurate, or (c) delete your data entirely. Just email hello@whop.example and we'll act on your request within 30 days.

7. Children

Whop is designed for IGCSE students, typically aged 14–16. If you're under 13 you shouldn't use the platform or submit notes. If a parent or guardian believes we've collected data from a child under 13, please contact us and we'll delete it.

8. Changes

We may update this policy as Whop evolves. Any material changes will be highlighted at the top of this page, and we'll email known contributors if the update affects submitted content.

9. Contact

Privacy questions or requests? Email hello@whop.example and a real human will get back to you.
